This is a long, rambling, sometimes uncertain correspondence among Ms. Weissgerber and many acquaintances, covering a period from about 1950 through 1961. Partly indexed. One is at the St. Louis County Public Library, Lindberg Blvd., St. Louis, another at MidContinent library, Independence, Mo. and a copy of the manuscript is in the possession of DGM. Three Musicks are buried in the old Fee Baptist Cemetery in St. Louis, and their graves bear recognition by the Daughters of the American Revolution as Heroes of the Revolution. A St. Louis County Public Park, at Graham and Latty Roads, in Hazlewood MO is named for David Musick, one of these three, and a prominent early Missourian and Indian fighter. Musick, accused of killing Henry Lafever, who was accused of shooting Jasper N. Musick. J. L.Musick was acquitted by a jury. Writer's note: Lester Terrell Musick was the uncle of this writer, and son of C. O. C. Musick, son of C. O. C. Musick Sr., who had accompanied his brother Jasper N. Musick to California in the Gold Rush. Uncle Lester related that his father returned to Missouri form California complaining about the troubles, and stating that those people in California were crazy.
